What’s an Oggie?

The Cornish Pasty, or sometimes known as an Oggie, is a “fully baked meal in it’s self.” Miner’s in Cornwall, England, made famous this delicious combination of meat, veggies and potatoes all wrapped up in pastry. But it wasn't only miner’s who enjoyed pasty’s. Even as early as the 11th century, these crusty, flaky, pies have been a favorite food of young and old, rich and poor including Robin Hood, Shakespeare and Jane Seymour, Henry VIII’s third wife received letters mentioning her favorite pasty.
